THE BLUE SKY

I absolutely love “the blue sky”, it makes me love for the first time i read it. The powers of these book are in the title, the colorful pictures and the characters. “The blue sky” will always hold a special place in my heart.

The using of simple present past tense and simple words by the writer makes “The blue sky” easy to understand. By using simple transition such as: the next day and then are enough to make the story smooth enough to move from one page to another page.

“The blue sky” has very beautiful pictures, include how the characters in the story shows one by one in every pages. Even if the illustrator just focused on one primary color “the most is blue”. However, the domination of blue color still makes it looks nice to see and not too bright. The elements of blue color in the story very supports “The blue sky” itself, because the story is about sky and blue is representing the sky.

The little girl in the story acts as the main character. She is supported by another characters such as, the turtle, the snail, the mouse, the elephant, the rabbit, the turtle and the bird. The main problem faced by the main character is about alone and lonely life without parents on her side. In addition, because her lonely life, she avoid to interact with another people. She made a very high building “skyscraper” whereas nobody can reach her. The problem solver in the story is when the bird show the girl to a door that lead to her mother. However, the ending of the story is still a mystery for me, because the writer do not five brief explanation about whether the little girl can met her mother.

“The blue sky” is a unique children’s story because it makes children have own feeling about the story. The feeling must be make the children more respect her parents, because live without parents is very ailing. These story as well as the learning materials for the child in order to be more love their parents.

I actually like the ending (and yes, i asked about the little girl fate after that!) as sad as it was. It makes me curious a lot about the little girl. These is really a good book, with a nice pictures in every pages, i believe it will adorn you.
